I have shared the coloring technique if one is curious, as it took 4.5 hours from inks to full colors, here: http://www.rdwarf.com/users/ruggels/layering/layer01.html .
I tried to keep a WW2 Western Desert feel for this piece "Grandmother's War." Photoshop Scott A. H. Ruggels 1 / 2000
The "Combat Uniform" of there period Evolved into the "Dress Sands" Uniform worn by the Granddaughter, Tsurukh. The contemporary Combat Uniform I may upload later or redraw.

I've always really loved this design. :D

You got the WW2 feel. Are the horns part of the armor or the critter underneath? Great detailing with all the pouches and things.

The horns are part of the critter underneath. But the WW2 feeling was what I was after, with definate P-37 influences, which is why the piece was called "Grandmother's war" which was the last worldwide conflict that resulted in most of these creatures united under one government, with only a few independent pockets of independents in economic backwaters. Bits of that Uniform survive in the Dress uniform of the current day. What they looked like in an analogue of our 70's -80's can be seen here:

More synthetics, and a lot more Ballistic Armour.
